*Remember Inspector Clouseau From The Pink Panther Movies 1963... But What About The Cartoons With Some Interesting History Facts 1965-69

*Inspector Closeau in the movies was a French police inspector who was a bumbling idiot. Common sense was not his best attributes, but that is what made him hilarious. The cartoon series of shorts came out in 1965 and ran till 1969. I only remember catching some of these cartoons when switching channels by hand because tv remotes did not exist at that time 😟, so this had to be a favorite cartoon of yours to get from your cereal bowl and switch channels... Lol. The actual cartoon was named " The Inspector" Interesting Fact: The cartoon character was actually based off Inspector Closeau of the "Pink Panther" movies even though the

cartoon never called him Closeau. In the 1968 movie" Inspector  Clouseau", credits were given to the cartoon implying that they were connected. The cartoon was produced by  DePatie–Frelenge Enterprises and released by United Artist. Historical note: The cartoon image took a dramatic change in appearance to look more like Peter Sellers the original pink panther 1965-69.
There were 34 animated cartoon episodes made, also if you're wondering Henry Mancini music was also a part of some episodes. But as I always say" if you need more in-depth history, please use my Wiki search bar above on my blog". Now here is a look at one of the original cartoons....

Wile E. Coyote Finally Catches And Eats The Roadrunner....No Way !! BEEP BEEP

I have been a personal fan of the Coyote and Roadrunner cartoon's for years, but I never knew that the coyote ever caught him !! This blog post is a little sentimental to me because I never wanted the roadrunner to be caught, less known to be eaten by Wile E. Coyote. My wife on the other hand felt the opposite way, seeing the coyote every Saturday morning trying different ways to catch him. She even remembered the Acme Co. that Wile E. Coyote got his trap gadgets from. Now mind you that my wife and I are 9 yrs. apart in age but have different viewpoints about the cartoon. One thing we said in unison when talking about this post was "Beep Beep", Lol, we loved the Roadrunner's trademark for sure. I guess one of the other sentimental things for me, which is a little off base: Was a 1969 Roadrunner car my best friends brother owned that was fast as all get out, and the horn went Beep! Beep! like the cartoon....
Super Kool back then !, "let's get back to the cartoon Bruce" The Wile E. Coyote in every episode tried to catch the Roadrunner and have him for dinner, he would use complex machinery that never worked or take pills that would make him just as fast as the bird. Everything seemed to blow up in his face, I guess that is where my wife sentimental feelings come to play.

Wile E Coyote And The Roadrunner appeared on the scene in 1952-2018, created by Chuck Jones/Looney Tones and Merrie Melodies....for more information on timeline and Indepth history, go to the wiki bar at the top of my blog. Remember this not a post about the Coyote and Roadrunner, but "Did He Catch And Eat Him ?". Below I have a lost hidden clip from Looney Toons that answers the question, but I couldn't find out much about it.... hummmπŸ˜•. "I don't like this episode ! lol".... but my wife does !!

Famous Cartoons Catch Phrases...Can you Remember Some Of Them ? Like: "Yabba Dabba Doo !"

The one liners were catchy and made you remember the cartoon characters for Saturday morning TV. Now that I think about it..."that was crafty counsel on the producer's part". Psychological warfare at it's best😬. Here is just a few....Lets Go !

Snagglepuss was a favorite but did not last long early 1961 ended late 1961. His famous catch phrase was ... "Exit Stage Left or Right" or Heavens to Murgatroyd

Who could forget the iconic Fred Flintstone who also aired on ABC primetime evening television 1960-1966. His iconic catch phrase was " Yabba Dabba Doo !

If you didn't grow up on Popeye 1930-1980... sorry you missed out 😞!
I can't say enough about him....Except : his famous catch phrase.. "I'm Popeye the sailorman..Too Too"

Yogi Bear1958-1988... stole and ate enough lunch and dinner picnic baskets to last him a life ! That's why he use to say.." I'm smatter than the average Bear".

Fat Albert 1972-1985... on Saturday morning was cool to wake up to, and I was 19 yrs. old at the time in college. Fat Albert And The Cosby Kids...com' on now ! "Hey Hey Hey" was his claim to fame catch phrase.

Sylvester the cat who was always trying to eat Tweety Bird 1946-1966, but Tweety Bird outsmarted him every time. However, Sylvester the cat died over 70 times in cartoons. I thought cats only had 9 lives 😏you talk about "Suffering Succotash"...this was Sylvesters famous catch phrase.

Porky Pig .... My favorite stuttering pig !! of all time but was there any other pig cartoons that did that? 😏. Porky Pig at the end of the show said..."Th-th-th-th-Thats All Folks"

This is just a few favorite cartoon phrases, but I hope I took you back in the pass for a bit.

Is "Swee' Pea" Popeye And Olive Oyl's illegitimate Child ? And Where They Married ?

Olive Oyl is Popeye's girlfriend, she has a very slender build, long black hair and is taller than Popeye. Her outfit usually consists of a tight dress, which covers her whole body. In the cartoons, she is the girlfriend of Popeye, but she is fickle, and can be extremely jealous. She is kidnapped by Bluto, who is Popeye's archrival for her affections, and when Olive gets angry at Popeye for whatever he has done wrong, it's usually Bluto's doing. In the cartoons, she takes care of a baby named Swee'Pea or she sometimes asks Popeye to take care of him. But is Popeye really the father ! or Bluto ! 😁... just kidding Lol. It is sort of not clear whether Popeye is the father, but in the comics, Swee'Pea is a child under Popeye's care when he received him in the mail ("really in the mail") Later sources, mostly in the cartoon series say that Swee'Pea is Olive Oyl's cousin or nephew that she babysits on occasions.

Now about the marriage/ Where They?

The Short Answer : NO! and YES !.... Popeye and Olive Oyl where never married in the vintage comics or cartoons. But 70 years later !... when the Rhode Island-based "Ocean Comics Inc" put out a special comic book edition, 'The Wedding of Popeye and Olive,' hit the newsstands February 1998.

Well, there you have it.. no illegitimate child by Popeye and Olive Oyl.... Glad to get that interesting fact out of the way ! "Cause I was wondering myself before I did some research". I hope this post was informative.."Well blow me down" 😜
